Cormac Myles (he/him) is an award-winning interdisciplinary director, playwright, and artist based in Glasgow, specialising in contemporary theatre and new writing. His work is rooted in social and community contexts, engaging with the political landscape of the UK and beyond. He has also worked professionally as an actor, vocalist and dancer. Common themes in his work are grief, community, masculinity and the responsibility people feel for animals.

In 2025, Cormac was a featured poet and performer in Loud & Proud, a digital work presented by Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Prime Theatre, alongside artists such as Alan Cumming. He was also the 2025 recipient of the Scottish Emerging Theatre Award 2025, courtesy of Framework Theatre Co

He has worked with a range of companies and theatres including the Citizens Theatre, Traverse Theatre, A Play, A Pie and A Pint, OneRen, Future Paisley, Drive Official, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Prime Theatre and Creative Scotland.

IN DEVELOPMENT

  • Currently writing the book for a new Scottish Musical entitled ‘No Place Like Here’. With Song and Lyrics by Evan Elliott, and co-conceived by Rebecca Conway, Kady Smith, Niamh Watt.

  • Writing under commission for an award winning theatre company for work premiering in 26/27.

  • In the process of creating a book of original Scottish poetry, exploring Queerness and Identity.
